you can get this when you get the tires smoking during a burnout, the axle will actually start to twist, and can start hopping up and down due to the stresses of horsepower being applied, as it transfers to the tranny, drive shaft and rear end. traction bars are one way to keep this from happening, anytime the wheel starts hopping there is a very good chance some parts will self destruct from the stress of the wheel losing traction momentarily, then getting it back and is very hard on parts.
