Question:

what is the best and least effective blocker for beta particles?

In an experiment, you will use cardboard, copper foil, aluminum plate and lead sheet to block β particles. If you had equal thicknesses of each substance, which would be most effective blocker? Which would be the least effective blocker?

Answer:

aluminum plate would be most effective.
Lead is the most effective. I think cardboard would be the least )
The mass per unit area will determine this. Lead, being heavy, will be effective.
