Question:

What would the cost be of a Dual Exhaust System?

I have an 04 Chevy Avalanche 1500, and want to redo the exhaust, I want to make it dual exhaust with 1 1/4 inch pipe, with glass packs. I am also unsure if I can get away with having the catalyst converters or notI live in Sask but do a fair bit inter provincial driving, and do some traveling into the states.Any further ides and how much this would cost would be appreciated.

Answer:

that handle bar that you pull. or for some car its the peddle higher up to the left of your brakes
First off your engine will not run with 1 14 inch exhaust tubing. To be of any benefit you need at least 3 or better in dia. tubing. Secondly it is illegal in the United States for any one to alter your exhaust system between the engine and cat. converter. Especially in California where they do emission tests. If you seriously want to improve your exhaust system you need to contact TTI exhaust systems. They will bring you up to date on what you can and can not do and how far you can go and still be legal.
properly first you need to learn what the mufflers sound like do you prefer 2 chamber 4 chambers or what? you additionally should get an off highway h-pipe it provides a minimum of one extra 15 horsepower on maximum vehicles so try gaining knowledge of and looking out that signature sound you prefer
you could be looking at around 1000 bucks, maybe less, maybe more. but why 1 1/4, that will be really snappy
