i ordered alot of sofas but none of them will fit thru my back or front door. i wasted 10000 dollars and they wont refund it no matter what. i put a lawsuit against them already. how can i modify a sofa and get it up into my house? im on the third floor of an apartment.
Firstly I have to just say that it was very stupid of you to order furniture without finding out if it would fit through the door first. That is like rule number 1. of furniture buying and because it was a mistake on your part and the company followed through with their part of the agreement I highly doubt if your lawsuit has any grounds or if you will get the money back. We have to learn from our mistakes so yes loosing that amount of money is pretty terrible at least you have learned from it. If you cannot get any of the sofas you picked through your doors then it will be a case of actually taking the windows of your apartment out and hoisting the sofa up and through which is a major job. I would talk to the companies/companies you got your sofa from and actually get someone round to measure your door and get back to you with a list of smaller sofas/chairs that will fit. That way you can forget the lawsuit and you won’t loose all that money as they will hopefully let swap sofa's.
yeah i think thats ok best to get the things you really need first then just get the rest as you can afford too. ikea is quite reasonable for furnishings. i got some stuff from argos n maybe ive just been unlucky but the set of drawers i got are falling to bits already n ive only had them a year! your local paper will have folk selling furniture for cheap but it depends on how you feel about havin it second hand
The reason is obviously because the sofas are wider than the door openings, or the stair-well. Try the windows from outside using a crane, but check the dimensions first!
Its not their fault you mesured wrong, and there is no problem, if you have more money, use the windows, that what my grandma did when she ordered a huge sofa.
