Question:

why wont my card reader respond?

i got a new card reader and i've just rebooted my system and now my pc wont read it.when i insert nothins happening nothing at all and the card reader's fine i checked it.

Answer:

try using a different USB port, and this is a long shot but if it came with a driver disk, try installing that, also, maybe the problem is with the card (Memory stick) itself, not the reader.
What OS are you using? Windows 7 came out yesterday with an update for their USB driver. Try uninstalling your USB driver, reboot the computer and click on Windows Update. By the way, just to clarify, REBOOT Click on Start Restart. It's also called 'Restarting' the computer.
The USB port on your PC must be faulty. Try using the Card Reader on a different USB port in your PC. If it still doesn't work, then you need to get the USB ports panel changed or repaired.
