Can psp slim use any USB cable to charge and transfer data? or special usb cable needed?

Basically i just wish to know can i use the usb cable that i had for my portable Harddrive with the PSP slim?

Any PSP uses a standard USB 2.0 cable. So just a smaller looking squarish plug on one end, and a normal rectangle usb plug on the other end will work with your PSP.
