hi. First of all, any type of braces will break if u don't take good care of them though yes, ceramic braces do break more than metal ones. Why not compromise, with ceramic braces on ur top front teeth and metals ones on the rest. This way it wont be as obvious and u get mod strength. I've had mine like that for 1 and a half years now and so far, never had any problems. So if u take good care of it, i don't think u'll have much problem with it. ceramic braces are still visible but it doesn't bother me a lot. u can't reli see it in photos, unless it's really close up, same as in real life. But depending on ur situation, for example if ur teeth are more protrusive in the front (buck teeth) then it will appear more visible, but that's the same for all braces, except invisible braces like Invisalign. Those are clear and u can't really see them at all unless u look really closely. And yes, the metal line does come in white colour if you want it to be more aesthetic
