The question described my situation exactly. You said to replace the switch. While I was reading your reply, my husband found that you need to lift the control lever up to the setting you want-mist, delay, low, high, and then in the mist and delay settings you can turn the lever to set the interval between wipes. I don‘t know if you can use this info, but it would save someone from needlessly replacing the switch, only to find out that the wipers still won‘t work, unless you lift the control lever.
