Question:

Facts about Transition metals?

I just need some cool facts about the Transition metals. Like I said the first two times, I am working on an Inquiry on the periodic table

Answer:

they are nu metal not hard rock what makes them this is there melodic tones and undistorted bass and guitar.
Their guitar aren't distorted enough to be metal.
there are bands who are softer than them who get classified as metal, so simply saying they're not heavy enough doesn't cut it, the line that separates hard rock from metal is really arbitrary sometimes.
Well they're more of a tamer Metal band... their sound isn't as heavy as other Metal bands, but I would say that there's a very thin line between hard rock and heavy metal.
You'd need to understand rock history and how genres evolved to know why Disturbed are not considered to be metal by many people. Disturbed play heavy music, but their links to heavy forms of alternative rock (Rage Against the Machine, Faith No More, Alice in Chains) are much stronger than their links to heavy metal (Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Dio). Now, Disturbed clearly take influence from metal bands, but most people who are familiar with the evolution of rock would agree that their melodies and riffing are much more alternative than they are metal. There are many types of heavy music out there. There's hard rock, hardcore, industrial, etc. Metal is just one of those many types of heavy music. It wasn't the first, it's not even the most popular, some would claim it's not even the heaviest, but it has become the most iconic so a lot of people will call any sort of heavy rock metal.
