Hi, it all depends on 1. Your insurance company. 2. If you choose monitoring. 3. What and how many devices are installed in your home and 4. How long the system has been in your home. Its *up to* 15%. But again, it all depends. If you have a few fire protection devices such a couple heat and/or smoke detectors, you'll get a better rate. You'll also get a better rate if your system is Monitored on a 24 hour basis. Call your insurance broker/company to find out. They'll be able to tell you. Then you need to call your security company and ask them to fax a Letter/Certificate to your insurance company. They're really simple, we do them all the time. Its just your name, address and a list of what devices (heat, low temp., doors, windows, glassbreak, smokes) you have in your home on company letter head signed by a Monitoring Operator. Regardless of % saved, its worth it. Because your security company doesn't charge to do this (at least the one I work for doesn't) so any if you could even save 5%, thats money in your pocket instead of the insurance companies. :)
Why not use a Photo etched saw ? they are as thin as possible (0,20mm)
