Answer:

Why do not you let us know a splash greater appropriate to the priority. Like how previous is he, how long you had him, if this exceeded off all at as quickly as or progressively, if he's appearing distinctive any incorrect way, and so on. If he's new on your place, in simple terms enable him settle in first. If he used to run on it frequently, yet stopped now for in spite of reason, please take him to a vet. He would have had an harm or some type of ailment. greater suitable not possibility it, and function him appeared at quickly till now it gets worse.
hedgies are nocturnal. He probably won't run on it during the day. Check the wheel in the AM- if there's tons of poop and pee on the wheel then he's using it. They WILL go to the bathroom on their wheel so if you don't find anything then he's probably not. You do have a solid plastic wheel, right? Not a meshed metal where their feet can get stuck?
Many hedgehogs will not run in front of people (they are just shy). Make sure that the wheel is big enough - at least 12'' in diameter. Get an extra-large Comfort Wheel or a bucket wheel and give it a few days. Look for poop or pee on the surface or underneath it. Not all hedgehogs go on their wheel (I have had at least 3 who are diligent litter box users and I rarely have to clean their wheel). Give it a few days and if there is still no sign that he is using the wheel, wait until he gets up to eat in the evening and turn the lights out and wait there. If he is wheeling, you should be able to hear him running. Good luck!
