I have a samsung charger for my cell phone. It suddenly stopped working yesterday. When I plug it in it doesn't charge my phone at all. If I hold it in really tight it chargers, but it stops as soon as I put it down. And also if I hold the cord a certain way it charges, but if it moves at all it will stop.I have no idea whats wrong with it. I tried several different outlets and it still doesn't work. And its not my phone because I was able to charge it at my friends house with no problems.Does anybody know what is wrong with the charger, or any way to fix it??
The cable on your charger is broken. You will need to get a new one. The cable is probably broken right near the connector, so unless you can find a replacement connector, which is unlikely, you will need a new charger. If you can hook your phone up to your computer with a USB cable, you should be able to use a charger that charges USB devices.
Sounds like the metal contact inside the chargers plug - the part that actually transfers the electricity - has come loose. This happens to a lot of chargers. If it's still under warranty, take it back and get it exchanged. If not, just buy a replacement. You could fix it, but it's more trouble than it's worth, especially since you can buy a replacement at Walmart for $8 or so.
