what are the yellow hydrant Parking restrictions?
well the bread trick might work and it might cause more problems than you can fix . there is a special tool plumbers use that goes into the pipe and stops the water flow. stop by a plumbing supply and tell them your problem and they will help out. good luck
The oldest trick is bread Doe ,Other trick is using the brass connection with seal ring .To order stop water you should shut down the main valve control .
Here's a plumbers trick. If you for some reason, can't get all the water out of a pipe (and you are correct, a pipe with ANY water in it will not sweat), simply get a piece of white bread and start jamming bread in the pipe. Do it like the pipe is a cookie cutter and put in 6 or 7 pieces of bread. The bread should hold the water back long enough to get a solid sweat joint, and when you turn the water on, the bread will be flushed out of the pipe. Just be sure to remove any aerators that are downline so they don't get clogged with bread. Good luck. Edit: A special tool? And what would that be? I've never heard of this magical special tool. Furthermore, how does one get this special tool OUT of the pipe after it has been sweated and totally closed up? The bread works. I've done it many times.
much experience here , when there is ever smoke damage is gets inside the wall and should have been repaired when the cleaning was performed , if it had major smoke damage it is where you can't get to it, ok, the company Franklin, (could be coming from anyplace)make a Oder digest-er that will eliminate the smell ,soap and water will not do the trick, also you maybe getting smoke form another part of the structure, also if its been down awhile it should be gone so this means it still has fire damage somewhere) air spaces between places it my not be in your place OK, it will go away but it take a very log time , but if you know where to look it can be eliminated with Franklin Oder die jester, (made for Mal Oder's and smoke damage sold at professional cleaning supplies , but on a another note the owner should have never rented the place until it was free of the stench, call the city and they will come and inspect it free and if UN livable they will make the owner replace you in a different unit or building at his expense do live with a uncomfortable Oder you don't half too OK, take care, and call building and safety in you area, you have renter rights
Best go with the bread trick, bread washes out tools don't.
