If gravity and inertia keep the planets from being sucked into the sun why don't the planets move in circles around the sun. I mean the sun's gravity is the same all the way around it right?

Its absolute laziness and its against most major plumbing codes. If someone did this in my house Id sue the plumbing company and win. Lets also clarify a few things: 1) ABS vs PVC - ABS is black, PVC is grey. 2) If the pipe and fittings are PVC, primer is required to soften the piping and glue is used to create the bond. Typical primer is clear. Purple primer is used for vent piping. If the pipe and fittings are black, all that is needed is ABS cement which is typically yellow. 3) There is ALWAYS pressure in a drainage system. In almost any plumbing code, drainage systems should be tested to ensure they can can handle 7 to 10 psi. 4) To the person who thinks that some joints should remain unglued for cleaning purposes, thats why there are cleanouts on traps or adjustable nut traps so that you can undo the trap. There is no excuse for not properly joining plumbing and I would not want to be the owner of a place that is not plumbed correctly.
