Question:

Dental Assistants: Protective Eyewear?

Hi, if you're a dental assistant, do you prefer to: wear a mask and safety glasses, just a visor (plastic face shield) or a visor and a mask? Is there any combination which is more advised to use?Thank you.

Answer:

THIS IS ONE FOR SMALL CLAIMS COURT AND LET THE JUDGE FIGURE IT OUT. GOOD LUCK
For legal opinions see your local solicitor.
I have seen nice ones made with a fairly dence white fabric cover. You can if you wanted put a reflective covering on the inside back of the light box to reflect more light thru the fabric that would be wasted otherwise. Most homemade light boxes have tungsten lights inside them so give ample room from bulb to cover to prevent the chance of fire. Also, if you do use tungsten light leave some hole on the top of the box to let the heat dissipate out of the box.
Legally you need to pay for the repairs. When the car was lowered the risk of damage from speed bumps should have been obvious. Now if a shop did the work for you and didn't warn you this might happen, then you might have a case.
