If you have never driven on snowy roads I would say Snow tires are a Must! Get anti-freeze checked and use your block heater.

Winterizing is simple as having good wiper blades and good anti-freeze and antireeze in your windshield washer bottle, make sure that your heater , fan and defroster works, undercoat your car and keep it washed and waxed, make sure your brakes are working properly and your steering does not have a lot of freeplay.

Do not use any other type or brand of antifreeze in a Toyota all aluminum engine except genuine Toyota brand. As you know Toyota's aren't equipped with block heaters. It's not even on Toyota's option list. Our Camry has started perfectly in - 25 below zero mornings, outdoors, with no block heater with Mobil1 in the crankcase. It flows at much lower temperatures than regular 5W-20.
