Question:

i have a beckett model afg oil burner?

how do i bleed it because I let it run out of fuel. I see the plug on the top but the manual doesn't say if thats the vent plug or not. thank you

Answer:

If there is a guage on it, make sure it is still full. If there is no guage, you may want to have it checked, especially if it is more than a year old. If you find the pin you should put it back in the hole that it came out of, but in all actuality it should be safe to bring back inside even if you can't find the pin. The extinguisher will not go off unless you squeeze the handle. The pin is put there to prevent an accidental release in case the extinguisher falls over or something
I dont have it but good luck getting out of Florida in the summer, I feel your pain.
