Dry chem should be mounted Horizontally (NOT VERTICALLY), strange, I know but, check with the CG, It's true, this prevents the dry chem from caking. If it's mounted Vertically already, just turn the ext. upside down and tap the bottom to break up the caking from pounding the waves, about 1X a week is good.
Can you mount it to the bottom of your seat? The one on the boat, that is. It would be close by, and out of the way.
