drive with blankets? i told em to start a fire in the little cigarrette lighter thats in all the cars
A clogged catalytic converter can cause all of these codes One would figure that a legit auto tech would know that a clogged cat would be a symptom of these problems, not the cause. Wow. That P0300 random misfire probably ruined the cat converter. I would imagine that fixing that EVAP system leak will take care of that high idle code, too.
I have driven with blankets wrapped all around me before. My windows were really foggy and it was rainiing too, and beuase cold air defrosed better than hot air does, I was forced to drive in the freezing cold with the AC blasting. Thank GOD my road trip buuddies grabbed a bunch of balnkets with them cuz they came in handy!
Memories. I had a '71 Beetle and they either had no heaters or gas heaters. The gas heaters had open flame pilot lights and had one setting - sauna. Plus they'd set your car on fire. With the heat exchanger Bugs you needed a candle on the dashboard to keep the window defrosted, plus a scraper. You had to wear hat, gloves, boots and a parka. You froze, but you never got stuck. They could go through snow a 4X4 got stuck in.
Go back home and hit the blankets.
