Question:

When should I do additional recommended services, such like brake system flush, coolant system flush.?

My MB clk 320 has 60000 miles, and has done all the scheduled services (B service) at MB dealer. It seems that the B service only check all fluid levels. I wonder if I need to do the services below: Coolant System FlushBrake System FlushTransmission System FlushReplace Fuel Filter and Air FilterThe engine oil (Mobil 1)is changed every 10000 miles at the dealer upon the request. Is it necessary to change the engine oil every 5000 miles?

Answer:

Mu-metal is commonly used for magnetic shielding. But it's not completely impervious. Only a superconductor can do that, and then only until the magnetic field is strong enough to quench the superconducting effect.
As often as the manufacturer suggests, since they know their vehicles the best.
The dealer will should tell you what you need, when you need it. Brake flush is every 2yrs and coolant every 3yrs. Trans flush is never done! Sealed units, MB does not like service stations messing around with them. Oil changes only every 10k. you'll be fine. Air filter about every other service and fuel filter 60k or higher.
At 60k you should do the air and fuel filters, brake and coolant flush every 2 years. This should all be in the owners manual check it out.
well a superconductor (metal cooled to the point where it encounters no electrical resistance) will also float on top of a magnetic field. This has something to do with its interaction with the magnetic field, and I'd guess it may affect the field's shape or strength.
