I have a 2004 ford ranger, just replaced a blown wheel cylinder and need to bleed the brakes, but want to know if there are any special tricks I need to keep in mind due to the computers in cars these days.
No. Man that Liz above is a real nut case.
i would just make a special effort to power bleed the system one wheel at a time starting in the rr, which is the farthest away from the master. then the LR, then RF, then LF last. the real question is how do I get Jesus to help the angry little children bleed my brakes. ?
The only type of brake system which has a different method of bleeding air from the system are brakes with electric motor boost rather than vacuum boosters. I usually clamp the rubber brake line gently while replacing wheel cylinders or calipers. If you did not clamp the line you may have to bleed both sides in the rear.
